i was there at ballaugh bridge that day ,he was flying in that race i was so impressed until that last lap ,,,, i still go the iom for the southern hundred each year and go back to that spot and think of tommy RIP .....NEVER FORGOTTEN

Just come across tommys name and thought id look it up, by doing so came across here. Very sad indeed he sounded like a great bloke, and still the fastest on a 600 is some achievement. Its people like tommy who road racing really misses. RIP

I found this site today after a breif thought about riders gone by,i marshal the TT and the Manx,the ay this happened we were cheering tommy on outside the sulby glen...i can still see the looks on the faces and feel the hurt from everyone there.many races have been and gone but he will still be thought of very highly by the islanders and the fans of the races.

I was at the manxGP, i remember hearing on the radio that you broke the lap record from a standing start, we were watching from the primary school man the speed you were carrying was like f*ck me, when after another time you passed we heard over the radio that you were overdue at the next checkpoint we had an idea that it would not be good. Well i 1st met tommy in 2002 in france then we met a couple of times through the year at new era meetings then when i competed in the mgp in 2004 i was lucky enough to be parked up next to him . He was so helpful as i was a complete novice and had never stepped foot on the iom he gave me priceless information and of course always that ginger smile! miss you mate

I've just been down and gave my first pint of blood, peice of ***** It took 5 mins for me to empty a pint out, a fast time is 3 mins, i must try harder next time!
